Halloween 2010
JKR Partners hosted its 4th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, and the firm’s talented architects competed doing what they do best: designing. The team put architecture temporarily on hold just long enough to put their carving and cutting skills to the test. Based on originality, creativity and craftsmanship, Natalya Maltseva and Marissa McMurtrie’s sugar skull pumpkin won this year’s contest. Although scary and funny faces adorned the front of most of the 10 Jack-O-Lanterns entries, some of the familiar autumn globes were a little more creative. The competition also included other notable mentions of pumpkins like deer crash pumpkin, piggy bank pumpkin and draft beer pumpkin. Prizes, drinks, munchies and fun were all part of the JKRP Halloween Happening.
