Jerry Roller Wins Thomas U. Walter Award
JKR Partners’ Managing Principal Jerry Roller was honored last week with the Thomas U. Walter Award. This award is an annual award given to a Philadelphia Architect for service to the profession. He is the third recipient of this prestigious AIA Award. His family and many of JKR Partners’ principals and project managers attended the award ceremony. Jerry considers his service to AIA on a local, state and national level to have been one of the highlights of his architectural career to date. He has been active in the AIA throughout his career, serving as President of AIA-PA and holding the posts of Regional Director and Vice President on the National AIA Board.
During his acceptance speech, Jerry urged all of the architects to get involved in the AIA. He said “As an architect, it is a great way to get beyond your own practice and projects. It is an opportunity to meet others in this great profession, to share trials and anecdotes about clients. And it is an opportunity to learn from others and advance this profession that we all truly love.
