Spotlight Theatres is an independent theater chain headquartered in Georgia. The first Spotlight Theatres’ location opened in Cordele, Georgia during the summer of 2006. JKR Partners is currently working on two new Spotlight locations. Spotlight Theatres at Front Street in Hartford, CT is a new theater fit-out in an existing new construction development. The premium 4-screen, 700 seat theatre will be an anchor for a new mixed-use retail entertainment district. The theatre will have an extensive menu and bar service for the premium experience it provides throughout. The high end restaurant allows patrons to sit down to a fine dining experience before the movie. The finishes throughout the theater are not like a typical cinema, instead they are more luxurious and representative of an upscale hotel lobby.
The second project is Spotlight Theatres at the Odeon building in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh and is the focus of a major redevelopment effort in the area. The theatre will be both a restaurant and a cinema. Spotlight has teamed up with a popular local restaurateur to create a one-of-a-kind experience. The venue has a modern sleek design that carries throughout the restaurant, bar and cinema. Both a general admission and premium experience will be offered at this location, and the premium cinema allows patrons to sit down to a fine dining experience before the movie. The Balcony, a bar on the mezzanine level, allows patrons to bring their drinks to their deluxe reserved seats via a private entrance directly off the dining mezzanine. While the restaurant and cinema are packaged as one venue, both pieces are also designed to stand alone so patrons may come only for the restaurant or just a movie.
